Carbuncle isn't all that great, but it's still a GF. It casts Ruby Light, which is equivilant to Reflect. Not usually a good thing if you need to use Cure spells. You can get him from the Iguions that you fight during Edea's parade. He doesn't have any great abilities, but Counter can be useful. It counter-attacks enemies when you take damage.
