Bahamut is a neat-o GF. His attack power isn't great (it's equal to Quezacotl) but his animation is so long that you can boost him close to the maximum. That can make him useful. Also, his attack ignores any sort of defense, and does damage to anything. He is obtained at the Deep Sea Research Station. You make your way to the blue light, walking only when it stops spinning. When you get there, Bahamut will ask you questions, after each question, you fight a Ruby Dragon. The answeres are "It is not our will to fight", "Never", and the invisible thrid option under the second option. After all the question answering, you fight him. He has some good abilities. His best one is probably Ability x4, which lets you use 4 ability commands. Mug is also useful, so is Str +60%, and Rare Item, which increases your chance of getting a rare item.
